In 1949, Donald W. Dunlope and his wife, Glenda, founded Dunlope Funeral Home in Wintersville, at 215 Fernwood Rd. Sam Shorac joined Mr. Dunlope in 1981, and when Mr. Dunlope retired in 1984, Sam purchased the funeral home, forming Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home.

Shorac Family Center is directly across the street from our funeral home, so families do not have to travel to continue the day together. It is a comfortable space with a fireplace, a place to share a meal and a few stories.
Food service is available through local caterers, and our staff will help the family choose the buffet. Our building offers great parking and is wheelchair accessible. Learn more about the Family Center.
