Sara G. Young 89 of Weirton, WV, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at Weirton Geriatric Center. She spent her life watching for her Lords return, and she was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She spent most of her life in Salem, WV. She was born in Smithburg, WV on March 13, 1912 the daughter of the late Clinton and Frances L. Carroll Williams. She was a member of Morgans Run United Brethren Church, Salem, WV. She taught Sunday School Primary Depts. at Salem United Methodist Church for 16 years and for many years at Open Door Tabernacle. She was a member of the 1930 graduating class at Salem High School. She was proceeded in death by her husband: James Wayne Young (died: 5-16-1993), sisters: Forest Ramage and Madaline L. Davis. She is survived by her daughter: Sara Peeler and her husband Sam of Steubenville, OH, grandsons: Samuel W. Peeler of Steubenville, Leonard M. Peeler and wife Jayna of New Cumberland, WV, Jody C. Peeler and wife Gigi of Steubenville, OH, three great grandchildren. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Friday from 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Morgans Run United Brethren Church, Salem, WV with Rev. Haymond Plaugher officiating. Burial at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Salem, WV.
