Ruth M. Morris, 99, of Steubenville, Ohio peacefully passed away on August 1, 2026 at Steuben Health and Rehab. Ruth was born on April 20, 1927 in Steubenville a daughter of the late Elwood & Beulah Allen Permar.

Ruth was a graduate of Steubenville High School and a long-time member of First West Presbyterian Church.

Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Samuel P. Morris on March 12, 2013, daughter Karen Ruff and siblings Nancy Tingler, Dorothy Werbecki, Everett Permar & Robert Permar. She is survived by her daughter Debra (Ken) Andresen; grandchildren Brandon Andresen of Toronto, Ohio, Dr. Paul (Cindy) Ruff of Starkville, MS & Lori (John) Cripple of Long Beach, MS; great-grandchildren Daniel, Craig, Reagan, Kaylee & Madelyn and many beloved nieces & nephews.

Per Ruth’s wishes, private family services will be held with burial at Union Cemetery.
