Rosemarie (Caracciolo) Lesinski, 90 of Wintersville, OH, formerly of Steubenville, OH died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Weirton Geriatric Center in Weirton, WV.
Born on January 24, 1934, in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Francesco and Filomena (Pantuso) Caracciolo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Harold Carter, her beloved son Bobby Lesinski, her sister Theresa Cercone and her brother, Luigi Caracciolo.
She graduated from Steubenville High School in 1952. Rosemarie was a licensed hair stylist and owner/operator of the former Caracciolo Beauty Shop in Steubenville OH as well as her own private salon on LaBelle in Steubenville, OH. She also worked as a laborer for a time at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Coke Plant in Follansbee, WV. Rosemarie was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Steubenville, OH prior to joining Blessed Sacrament Church in Wintersville, OH. Rosemarie enjoyed comedy shows, music & attending her son’s performances whenever possible. In addition, she loved cooking, baking for holidays and sharing what she made with family and friends.
Rosemarie is survived by her son Mark Eddie (Cyndi) Lesinski of Santa Clarita, CA (& Pittsburgh, PA); two granddaughters, Rachel “Rae” Lesinski and Tianna “Tia” Lesinski whom she adored. In addition, she leaves behind a host of wonderful nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Blessed Sacrament Church, 852 Main Street, Wintersville, OH on Thursday, Oct 17th from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. with Rev. Father Michael Gossett officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville.
Rosemarie was dedicated to her faith, her family & her close friends. A hard working, single mom for most of her life, she single-handedly raised not one, but TWO type-1 diabetic children, both diagnosed as infant/toddlers. Her passion & dedication to their health & wellness was paramount in her life.
The family would like to encourage everyone to donate to the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) Mark Eddie Juvenile Diabetes Fund in her memory at cfov.org or to the CFOV 1226 Chapline St, Wheeling, WV 26003 with “Mark Eddie” in the memo.
