Obituary For Robert Bruce Bennett

Robert Bruce Bennett of Wintersville went to be with the Lord December 30, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna Mary and Max, and a brother, Allen. Bruce is survived by his wife Pamela, two children Jeremy (Kati) Bennett and Chelsey Bennett; three step children Paul (Angie) Yates, Ashley Yates and Jenna Yates, as well as his 10 beloved grandchildren, Tinsley and Quynn; Haileigh, Brayden, Alexis, Briella; Luke and Alex; Dean and Rose; and his sister, Marsha Ann Cawthorn.

Bruce was a member of the local 495 Plumber and Pipefitters 50 years for all of his adult life and a long time 40 year employee of McCarls Inc. He graduated from Brooke High School in 1976. Bruce attended Crossroads Christian church.

As a faithful man of God and his community, Bruce touched countless lives through his endless generosity and bottomless knowledge. Most who knew him considered him family, a testament to the larger than life effect he had on the world around him.

Bruce was a wholly selfless man, who spent his life doing for other people. His joy was helping. His life was a testament to serving others.

Bruce was an avid golfer, a hobby he enjoyed with lifelong friends as often as he could.

Any one who met him loved spending time with him. Bruce possessed the most infectious personality. His warmth, care, and joy will live eternally with those who knew and loved him.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, on Sunday 2--5 PM, where services will be held at 11 AM Monday with Pastor Tim Groos officiating. Entombment at Highland Hills.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Crossroads Christian Church or, at a later date, information will be provided for an apprentice scholarship at the Plumber and Pipe Fitters 495 in Bruce’s name.

Loosing a parent and spouse is tough especially so young and suddenly. I pray for each of you that God gives you the strength over the next few days and months. I didn't know Bruce but from reading all the condolences and Angie Yates posts, Bruce was loved by everyone. Paul just know he will look down upon you on the golf course and make sure his "Buddy" continue to enjoy the game. Maybe he will help you get a hole in one. Prays and RIP Bruce. Your family will miss you.

Bruce Bennett was my brother-in-law, he was a gentlemen devoted to his family & friend's. He was my friend. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was always a "helping hand" when you needed an extra. He was always your "shadow" on your darkest days. He was loyal, he was faithful, he was so very dependable, he was understanding, temperate and compassionate. When I pray to grow into the man God intended me to become it is the man Bruce was. The hole in our hearts his leaving has left will only be filled and healed by the gift that he was. Peace and love be with you always my brother. Paul Gearhart
