Harry E. Yeager, Jr., 70 of Wintersville, Ohio passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 30, 2026. He was born in Steubenville on March 11, 1956 the only child of Harry E. & Marian V. Fetty Yeager, Sr.

Harry graduated from Wintersville High School in 1974, where he played football and was a three year member of the choir. He attended Youngstown State, then moved to Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland (BIM). He worked at radio station WAMD in Aberdeen, Maryland and also Loyola Federal Savings and Loan for 17 years. Harry moved back to Wintersville to care for his mother. There he met his wife, Cathie.

Harry’s greatest passion in life was music. He played lead guitar and sang in many bands and venues including those in Ohio, Maryland and California. He was best known for The Fossils from 1998-2022.

Harry retired from All-Clad Metalcrafters in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania in 2022. He was a member of First Christian Church in Weirton. Given an opportunity, he would share his faith and blessings with others. Harry was also a 22 year member of the Sons of the American Legion Wintersville Post 557.

He was a Green Bay Packers fan and a camping member of the Mohican Reservation Campground since 1998.

Harry’s friends could always count on his loyalty, support and sophisticated humor.

Harry is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Cathie L. Brenda Yeager; stepdaughter Mitzella Brenda and brother-in-law William (Treva) Brenda.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m.; where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial at Fort Steuben.
