George Jakovich, 85 of Easley, South Carolina, passed away June 8, 2026. George was born September 2, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Milan and Sarah Munis. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doreen Kalamarie Jakovich; his daughter Lynda Sturgill (James); and his granddaughter Samantha Sturgill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his brother Robert (MaryAnn) Jakovich and sister Dorothy McKay (Dewey).

Funeral services and entombment will be in the Chapel of Robinson Gardens in Easley, South Carolina.
