Zanovia J. Criss 73 of Seubenville, died Thursday morning June 16, 2005 at the Palliative Care Unit. Zanovia was born August 20, 1931 in Steubenville, Ohio, one of eight children of Alex and Anna Kushlak Gryskevich. Zanovia was foremost a mother and homemaker. She was an avid golfer and a world traveler. She was a past president of the Women’s Advisory Board of the Ohio Valley Hospital, she served on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Valley Hospital and gave over 4700 hours to the Women’s Auxiliary of the hospital. She was also a past president of the Women’s Golf Association at the Steubenville Country Club and held church membership at Starkdale Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Criss, three sons, Jeff and his wife Kim of Steubenville, John and his wife Shelley of Wintersville. Scott and his wife Lori of Columbus, Ohio and a daughter, Julie Criss of St. Simons Island, Georgia. Zanovia had six grandchildren; Steven, Caitlin, Jason, Codey, Zanovia and Alex. Survived also by a brother, Larry (Teresa) Gryskevich of Weirton and two sisters, Mary Fornari of Deltona, Florida and Shirlee (Mitchell) Baltich of Weirton. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Dr. Philip Makari to officiate. Burial at Union cemetery, Steubenville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Valley Hospice Inc., 380 Summit Ave., Steubenville, OH 43952
