Woodrow J. Heddleston, 86, passed away at home on Monday, January 13, 2020 after a lengthy illness. He was born October 9, 1933 in New Matamoras, Ohio a son of the late Woodrow & Effie Bowersock Heddleston. Woody worked for Ohio Edison for 38 years in the storeroom and planning. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty Russ Heddleston. He loved fishing and Ohio State Buckeyes football.
Woody is survived by his daughter Karen Heddleston of Richmond, Ohio; son Michael (Nancy Carlson) Heddleston of Riverton, Illinois; brother Bill of Southington, Ohio and sister Patsy Dietrich of Indiantown, Florida.
Per Woody’s request there will be no visitation or services. Entombment at Fort Steuben.
Memorials may be directed to Salvation Army, 332 N. Fourth Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
