Wilma F. “Billie” Kirk, 99, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Lancia Villa Vista. She was born in Steubenville on April 8, 1917 the daughter of the late John and Mary Jane Wilson Stone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James H. Kirk, sisters Thelma and Helen, brother Paul and granddaughter Lorra A. Cochrun. Billie worked as a receptionist at the former Mansfield Studio and held church membership at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and was a member of St. Paul’s Twig. She was an avid Bridge Player and belonged to the Duplicate Bridge Club, Steubenville. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Terry and Lois Kirk of Steubenville; grandchildren Shawn Kirk and Sheila (Jeff) Caniff; great grandchildren “J.J.” and Justin Caniff, Anastasia Haysler and Alexander “A.J.” Cochrun; niece Bonnie Kirk Mellendorf and Robert “Rob” Cochrun. Per family’s request, visitation and services will be private with Chaplain Dana Campbell officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. The family would like to thank the staff of Lancia Villa Vista for their excellent care given her during her stay. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Jefferson County Humane Society, 200 Airpark Road, Wintersville, OH 43953.
