William Y. Hicks 57 of Weirton, WV died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Weirton on April 4, 1947. Bill was retired from Weirton Steel Co. tandem mill and served in the Army during the Viet Nam War. He was preceded in death by his mother Ethel Geraldine Glasure Hicks and stepfather Alvin Hicks. Surviving are his wife Carol S. Brondos Hicks; son William B. Hicks of Charleston, WV; daughter Christine M. (Chad) Kucherawy of Spencer, WV; grandson Eli A. Kucherawy; brother Stewart (Ellen) Hicks of Weirton; sisters Penny (Rev. Jeff) Wick of Huntington, WV, Yvonne Hicks of Weirton, Yvette Hicks of Riverside, CA and Janet Pilotti of Chester, WV. Friends are invited to attend services on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Fort Steuben Burial Estates Chapel with Rev. Jeff Wick officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
