William C. “Bill” Westlake, 87, of Weirton, WV died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Life Line Hospital. He was born September 3, 1926 in Toronto, OH a son of the late Sheldon and Beulah Cooper Westlake. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the American Legion, Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 and Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. He retired in 1990 from Weirton Steel as a turn foreman in the BOP. Bill served in the US Air Force during WW II as an engineer on a B-26. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Bland Hunting Club. He was an avid Steeler Fan. Preceding Bill in death were his brother Bob Westlake and two sisters Marie Westlake and Carrie Gillis. Surviving are his wife of 63 years Eleanor Gaylord Westlake; daughter Pam (Darrell) Westlake Richardson of Steubenville, OH; son Billy Westlake of Cranberry Twp., PA; four grandchildren Sam (Brandy) Richardson of Steubenville, OH, Bruce Richardson of Steubenville, OH, Patrick Westlake of Cranberry Twp., PA and Michael Westlake of Cranberry Twp., PA; great grandchild Talan Richardson of Steubenville, OH and sister Judy Bates of Wooster, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope - Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Saturday 2 – 5 p.m. where a service will be held Sunday 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Conrad officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.

Mrs. West lake, I'm so sorry for your loss, great man that I had the privilege to know and grow up with at the hunting camp since I was young. I would cook for him, probably not as healthy as you did , but he loved it. He always said how good you cared for him and you could see the look of love, for you in his eyes. My son Matt was devastated, as was I, but will always remember what a kind, gentle man that he was. He was a great influence in my life.Always made me gut his deer, until my son came of age, never a problem. Once again, sorry about losing your husband, he will be in our hearts forever, God bless
