William R. “Bill” Paul, 81, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Valley Hospice North. He was born in Steubenville on September 30, 1933 the son of the late Lewis and Margaret “Peggy” Beck Behringer. Bill retired from Weirton Steel Co. where he was a foreman in the strip steel and attended Buena Vista United Methodist Church. He was an avid bowler for over 50 years and a member of Masonic Lodge #45 & 32nd degree Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubenville. Bill faithfully followed the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a graduate of Steubenville High School class of 1952. He is survived by his wife Linda L. Couch Paul of 57 years; sons William “Rob” (Christy) Paul and Russ (Mary) Paul both of Wintersville and Scott (Delores) Paul of Steubenville; four grandchildren Rachel, Gina, Jack and Dylan Paul; siblings Harry Behringer of Florida, Helen Bayne and Nancy Clancey both of Steubenville.Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday from 4 – 7 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Philip Makari officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Masonic services Sunday 6:45 p.m.
