William K. Bowers, Sr., 77, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Friday, May 20, 2011 at Trinity East. He was born June 11, 1934 in Shirley, West Virginia. Preceding him death were his mother Molly Helmick; wife Geraldine Darrah Bowers and daughter Molly Bowers. William was a member of the NRA and an Army veteran. Surviving are two sons John (Georgeanne) Clark and William (Kathy) Bowers, Jr.; two daughters Lisa McDonald and Mary (Dave) Huntington; step son Michael Clark; step daughter Ila (Richard) Ross; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClave Funeral Home), 611 N. Fourth St., Steubenville on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
