William J. “Bill” Needham, 92, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020. He was born on April 15, 1928 in Steubenville a son of the late Francis & Margaret Boyle Needham. After 35 years of service, Bill retired from City of Steubenville electrical department. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Bill was the most loving and caring husband and father and dedicated his entire life to always providing for and putting his family before everything.
Preceding Bill in death were his wife of 67 years and the sunshine of his life, Violet Jean Taylor Needham; son William “PeeWee” Needham; grandson Mark Baker, Jr. and sister Wanda Straka.
Bill was an avid Steeler fan and would never leave the TV whatever the score. He was an inspiration to all his children and was greatly loved by his entire family and everyone who knew him.
Bill is survived by his children John (Cathy) Needham, Tom (companion Shelly Haddon) Needham, Tim (Tina) Needham & Bonnie Baker; three grandchildren Dalton Needham, Leigh Ann (Chaz) Arnfield & Crissy Needham; two great grandchildren Charley & Lydia Arnfield; and siblings Donald Needham, Kitty Adams & Janet (Dave) Angelo.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 5-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
The family kindly asks that social distancing be observed and not to linger after paying your respects.
