William J. Houser, 91, of Wintersville passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2019.
William was born in Steubenville on November 18, 1928, a son of the late William and Helen Stultz Houser. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Delores J. Houser on March 18, 2018, whom he married on June 10, 1949 and sisters Helen E. Shannon and Dorothy Stojack.
William was a proud veteran of the United States Army – Airborne. He retired from the Weirton Steel Corporation Car repair department. He was a member of the Wintersville United Methodist Church.
William is survived by his son, who lost his best friend, William (Lisa) Houser Jr. of Wintersville; daughters, Terry (Michael) Costantini of Murrels Inlet, SC and Barbara (Philip) Hukill of Wintersville. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Michael Costantini, Brian Costantini, Melissa (Lou) Almonte, Kelly Costantini, Mitchell Hukill and Megan Hukill, and several nieces and nephews. Bill was a wonderfully devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be forever cherished and loved.
Per William’s request, private services were held. Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
