William Frederick Welshans 74 of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Friday, July 18, 2003 at home of natural causes. He was born in Harrisburg, PA on October 14, 1928 a son of the late Walter H. Welshans and the late Freida M. Search Welshans Haislet. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. masonry department and an Army vetran. William was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou Nicholson Welshans and a half-sister Doris Diamond. Surviving are six daughters Patricia (Bill) Yoho and Lee Miller of Mingo, Kay (John) Cain, Jo (Ray) Williams and Missy (Ronnie) Myers of Steubenville and Rose (Larry) Ralston of Smithfield, Ohio; one sister Sylvia Jeffries of Steubenville; a half-brother Richard J. Haislet of Beverly, Ohio; a half-sister Bonnie Pracko of East Springfield, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
