William F. “Bill” McLaughlin, 87, of Wintersville, OH passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Gables Care Center. He was born in Jefferson County, OH on February 8, 1929 a son of the late William E. and Pearl Dye McLaughlin. Bill was retired from the former St. Johns Medical Center as a storeroom supervisor. He was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church and the Men’s Group. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Patrick McLaughlin and his sister Helen Barash. Bill is survived by his wife Ruth A. Merrill McLaughlin, they were married August 6, 1957 and his many friends and church family. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Wednesday from 4-7p.m. Friends may also call on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 10a.m until time of services at 11a.m. at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating. Burial at Center Chapel Cemetery.
