William F. Gall, 87, of Steubenville, OH died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at his home. He was born in Kilsyth, Scotland on March 10, 1923 a son of the late James and Mary Patterson Gall. William was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge 45 F&AM and Fraternal Order of Scottish Clan. He was a union carpenter and a veteran of the Black Watch Regiment in the Scottish Army during WWII. Preceded in death by a sister and 2 brothers. William is survived by his wife Iris Hood Gall; son James Gall of Steubenville; daughters Christine Yocke and Mary (Lester) Clark, both of Hilton Head Island, SC; brother Glen Gall of Scotland; grandchildren Christine and Brett Clark. Private services will be held at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Charity Hospice
