William F. "Bill" Ferrell, 85, of Bloomingdale, OH died Monday, September 30, 2002 at Trinity West, Steubenville, Ohio. He was born on September 14, 1917 a son of the late Frederick B. and Helen McGillivray Ferrell. Bill retired in 1980 as a recorder from WheelingPittsburgh Steel Corp. after 34 years of service. He was a member of Cadiz Country Club; Winterhaven American Legion in Florida and an Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his stepmother Margaret Ferrell; two stepbrothers William and Pete Walters and a stepsister Maxine Litner. Surviving are his wife Virginia Suckle Ferrell whom he married on May 22, 1947; one son William F. (Kathy) Ferrell of Greer, SC; one daughter Susan Linda (Gene) Wise of Ellenton, FL; nephew William (Mary) Walters of Weirton, WV; four grandchildren Matthew Ryan Ferrell and Kacey Leigh Ferrell of Greer, SC, John (Ivy) Wise of Columbus, OH, and Theresa Feil of Grove City, OH; two great granddaughters Katlyn Feil and Kelsey Sue Wise; and two step great grandsons Corey and Torey Longshore. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Toronto Union Cemetery.
