Obituary For William E. "Bill" Zende

William E. “Bill” Zende, 91, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Trinity West ER. He was born June 7, 1926 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Ernest O. and Ethel Allen Zende. Bill was a WW II Army veteran and a member of the Ohio Bricklayers. Preceding Bill in death were his son William D. Zende on March 29, 2009 and two brothers. Surviving are his wife of 73 years Rose M. Paesani Zende; two daughters Margaret (Ron) Bowman of Syracuse, NY and Kathleen (Nelson) Sakowski of Boca Raton, FL; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and canine companion Molly. A private service and burial were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville. Burial at Fort Steuben.

    Mr. Zende was one of the kindest sweetest men I met my whole life. When he would come into my place of business he always had a beautiful smile and kind hello for me. He is greatly missed already. My prayers are with the family in this difficult time.
