Eddie, You and your family r in my thoughts and prayers. -Rose You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all he's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him only that him is gone, or you can cherish him memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. David Harkin

Dear Zende Family, Bill was a good friend to my husband Terry. They had a lot of good times together. Bill recently attended my daughter's wedding. I had him sit with us at the family table. Bill told me that Terry is looking down at us and smiling. Bill will now be with Terry and I know they are both watching over us. My daughters and I dearly loved Bill. We will always have good memories of him. Love to you all. Sandy Zook and daughters Collette and Shawna

Peggy and Ed, I was very sad to hear the news of Bills unexpected passing. When my Dad (Terry) passed away over three years ago, Bill is the one that I found comfort in. I was seven months pregnant, with the first grandchild in the family and my Dad was very excited about that. When Bill came to the funeral, he brought a gift to me for my daughter and labeled it Granddaughter and said this is a gift my Dad would have wanted me to have for Madison. I still have the envelope Bill wrote on and will keep it forever. Through the past few years I have tried to keep in touch with Bill sending updates about my life and Madisons. Just recently at my sisters wedding he got to meet Madison and of course his comforting voice and words made me feel so great. It is almost like my Dad spoke through him. I can only imagine the magnitude of pain and unanticipated loss you are feeling right now. He was such a loving, caring, compassionate, amazing man and he will be greatly missed. May you find comfort in knowing he is now watching over you; he may be gone from this physical earth, but will live on in spirit infinitely. You and your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers. Take care! Much love, Collette and Madison (Zook) Doran

Dear Zende Family, My heart broke when my mom told me the news of the passing of Bill. He was a friend and coworker of my dad's-Terry Zook. When my dad passed away over three years ago, Bill came to the funeral and I will never forget his words. He told my sister and I that my dad always spoke of us and he was so proud of his girls. I have felt that with Bill around, there was always a part of my dad here on Earth. In February, at my wedding, it was such a joy to see him there. He sat at the table with my mom filling the empty chair that was for my dad. It was such a comforting moment for me on such a big day. I smile now, knowing that my dad Terry and Bill are together again looking down on us and smiling too. My love and prayers are with you. Shawna (Zook) Howard

Mrs. Zende and son Ed, We were so sorry and deeply saddened to read in the paper that Bill had passed away. Bill has been mowing our fields for several years now and we enjoyed talking with him when he came out. We have shared greetings at many of the Indian Creek games. He was a very kind, generous and hard-working man.He always took time to ask about the kids and how they were doing in school. We will miss seeing him around and pray for you and your family during this terrible loss. Our sincere sympathy, The Mayher Family Bloomingdale, Ohio

Dear Mrs. Zende, Ed, and family, I was so sad when Marijo Young sent some members of the class of 1971 news of Bill's passing. I was in Bill's class from first grade until graduation. He was Billy back then. I hope that I make you laugh when you read one of my memories. In second grade Billy used to chase the girls at recess. After running around the picnic tables at Bantam Ridge many times, he finally caught me and kissed me on the cheek! It was scandalous and the talk of all the second graders. I was shocked yet secretly happy because I thought he was cute. I saw him at our 30th reunion and even got to meet Ed. I hadn't seen him since graduation. I know that he must have been a wonderful man, from what I have read in your condolences. I am truly sorry for your untimely loss. May God grant you strength and comfort as you hear affirmation of the postive force he was here on Earth.
