William B. “Bill” Tyson 87 of Wintersville, OH died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born on March 15, 1916 in Sturgeon, PA the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Bennett Tyson. He was a member of Wintersville Church of the Nazarene, and Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. He served in U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne during WWII. Retired from Weirton Steel as a scale repairman. Proceeded in death by sisters Sarah Tyson and Ethel Juszli. He is survived by his wife Louise Smith Tyson, son William K. (Sandra) Tyson, daughter Sharon (Stanley) Fray, all of Wintersville, sisters Violet Green of Duarti, CA and Dorothy (William) Hashman of Wintersville, OH, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call today from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dan Darulla officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside military services.
