William A. “Bill” Cramblett, 73, of Steubenville passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Valley Hospice Care Center North. He was born in Steubenville on February 1, 1936 a son of the late Robert and Lena Baker Cramblett. Bill was retired from Mountaineer Gas Company, Weirton, WV with 40 years of service. He was a member of LaBelle View Church of Christ and American Legion Argonne Post 33. Bill also served in the Marine Corps and was an avid Big Red football fan. In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his sister Kathryn Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Judith A. Morgan Cramblett; son William T. of Wichita Falls, TX who also is a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force; daughter Kathryn A. of Steubenville; brothers Earl (Marian) Cramblett and Don Cramblett both of Steubenville; brother-in-law Jerry (Liz) Morgan of Hebron, OH; grandchildren Keith, Ashley and Morgan. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8p.m., where funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12:30pm with Tom Arehart officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Memorial contributions can be made to: American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.

Bill's Family, I am so sorry to read of Bill's passing. I used to see him when he came for lunch at the Weirton Elks. He was always such a gentleman. I know that he will be missed by many. I live in Hewitt, Texas, but I couldn't go without conveying my deepest sympathies.
