William A. “Bill” Chociej, 80, of Richmond, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Carroll Health Care Center. He was born January 20, 1939 a son of the late Alex & Mary Ferguson Chociej. He retired as a craneman from Weirton Steel Co. and was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church and Steel Valley Antique Car Club.
Bill served in the US Navy. Preceding Bill in death was his brother Barry Chociej.
Surviving are his wife Nancy L. Baker Chociej; three daughters Linda (Rick) Armstrong of Bloomingdale, Karen Chociej of Steubenville & Cheryl (Jim) Kopras of New Philadelphia; stepchildren Cindy (Bob) Starr, Leslie (John) Empie, Howard (Diane) Rowley, Patricia Sphon & Greg Rowley; many grand and great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 11:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 852 Main Street, Wintersville with Rev. Michael Gossett officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
