William A. “Bill Cowher, 78, of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, May 6, 2005 at Trinity West. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on May 5, 1927, a son of the late Charles V. and Camille A. Bard Cowher. He was the retired owner of Cowher Cement Contractors. Bill was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Preceding Bill in death were his first wife Margaret J. Sanders Cowher; second wife Mary P. Moffatt Cowher; son Charles V. Cowher; daughter Billie Ann Cowher; grandson Clinton R. Cowher; stepdaughter Janice McNeil; two brothers James V. and Robert N. Cowher; and one sister Geraldine Cowher. Bill is survived by one son Robert A. (Betty) Cowher and two daughters Pamela (John) Cucarese and Patricia (James) Swinsinski all of Wintersville; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two stepsons Thomas A. McNeil of Bloomingdale and James McNeil of Florida. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Childrens Hospital Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct services at cemetery chapel.
