Wayne Foster Snyder, 66, of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Life Line Hospital. He was born September 26, 1947 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Earl G. and Vivian L. Mays Snyder. Foster was a member of Steubenville American Legion Argonne Post #33, Weirton VFW, PAC, PNA and Weirton Moose. He was in the Air Force for four years serving in the air police. Foster retired as a crane man from Wheeling – Pittsburgh Steel. Surviving are his wife JoAnn Reitter Snyder; two sons John (Dawn) Reitter of Mingo Junction, OH and Stephen Reitter of Steubenville, OH; sister Cindy (Richard) Mischell of Lawrenceburg, IN; nephew Michael (Kimberly) Krawson of Frisco, TX and great niece Mary Hope Krawson of Frisco, TX. Friends may call at the Shorac Funeral Home, 611 N. Fourth St., Steubenville on Wednesday 2 – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Ernst officiating. Private burial at Fort Steuben. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to an animal charity of the donor’s choice.
