Walter F. Dunn, 91, of Wintersville, OH passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital, Weirton, WV. He was born in Unionport, OH on November 15, 1930 a son of the
late Walter J. and Lochia B. Knicely Dunn. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a general foreman and then retired as the manager of Jefferson County Airport. He also worked
security
for the former Fort Steuben Security. Walter served in the U.S Army during the Korean War and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Pilgrim Lodge 691, American Legion Post 557, Ohio
Farm Bureau and served as a Jefferson County Constable. After his retirement he made crafts and handed them out frequently to his friends and loved ones. In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by his “angel in Heaven” loving wife of over 60 years Betty J. Sumpter Dunn. He will be sadly missed by his children Drema Gayle Dunn of Wintersville and Steven Dunn of
Zanesville, OH; brother Robert L. (Gloria) Dunn of Maricopa, AZ; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private due to COVID complications and a memorial service will be
announced at a later date. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
