Virginia Hosterman Higgins Westling, 98, died Wednesday, June 03, 2015 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, OH. A life-long resident of the Richmond and Wintersville areas, Virginia had recently lived at Country View of Sunbury in Sunbury, Ohio. Virginia worked for years in childcare at the Neighborhood House in Steubenville. She was an active member of the Wintersville Church of Christ. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband George R. Westling; parents Clyde and Etta Hosterman; three brothers Harry, Warren and Robert “Bob” Hosterman; sister Janet Ruthem and infant son Donald Keith Higgins. Surviving are her daughter Jacqueline (Robert) Andrews of Madison, Ohio; son Kent (Dee Dee) Higgins of Canal Winchester, Ohio and daughter, Bonnie (Larry) Heringer of Sunbury, Ohio. She was “grandma Ginny” to eight grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor Imre Gulyas officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to Wintersville Church of Christ, 316 Two Ridge Road, Wintersville, OH 43953.
