Virginia M. “Gin” Komestakes, 88, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Carriage Inn. She was born August 9, 1932 in Steubenville, Ohio the daughter of the late Jess W. & Mary Sleger Bickerstaff. She was a 1950 graduate of Wintersville High School and a member of Wintersville U.M. Church, Animal Welfare League and Jefferson County Historical Society. Gin had worked at State Park Motors as a secretary/title clerk and retired from O’Mara Enterprises. Preceding Gin in death were her parents; son-in-law William G. “Jerry” Reed; and stepfather E.K. “Pete” Peters.
Gin survived by her daughter Valerie Reed of Shippensburg, PA; brother George E. “Jughead” (Carolyn) Bickerstaff of Wintersville; two grandchildren Theodore Scott (Britt) Nalley & Quin Ann Elder Keziah (Charles) Shaffer; and four great grandchildren Scott Thomas Nalley, Sean Ashton Nalley, John Michael Keziah & Charles Emory Shaffer.
Due to the covid pandemic, all services are private. Burial at Union Cemetery.
