Virginia K. Sagun, 81, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, September 2, 2005 at Lancia Villa Royale. She was born in Steubenville on September 17, 1923, a daughter of the late John and Hilda Gaffney Duke. Virginia was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Ohio Valley Hospital Twig and a 1941 graduate of Steubenville High School. She was a retired caseworker from Jefferson County Dept. of Human Services. Preceding Virginia in death was one brother John Duke. Virginia is survived by her husband Adam W. “Hank” Sagun, whom she married on August 26, 1943; one son John Sagun of Steubenville; two daughters Susan (Barry) Collier of Healdsburg, CA and Melissa E. (Jim) Sagun Higgiston of Washington, DC; four grandchildren Eric Sagun, Michael Sagun, Adam Collier and Josh Collier; and one sister Jean of Avon Lake, OH Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. (No visitation on Monday) Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church with Msgr.
