Violet M. Hamilton 84 of Jacksonville, AL, formerly of Steubenville, OH died Monday, August 2, 2004 at Jacksonville Medical Center, Jacksonville AL. She was born in Jefferson County, OH on July 15, 1920 a daughter of the late Edward C. and Pearl Belle Combs Wells. Violet had volunteered for many years at the Salvation Army in Steubenville. She was preceded in death by brothers Woodrow and Claude Wells. Survived by a son David L. (Mary) Eddy of Ponce de Leon, FL, daughters Esther (James) Lambert of Piedmont, AL, Carol Ann Eddy of Weaver, AL and Sandra Loftis of Davie, FL, brothers Ralph and Howard Wells, both of New Philadelphia, OH, granddaughters Susan Montgomery, Sandra Young and Sharon Hibbs, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday from 11am until time of services at 1p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Major Earline May officiating.
