Violet G. White, 97, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born November 9, 1919 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late George W. and Cora Lash McGrew. Violet was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was very active in the ministry of the Jehovah’s Witnesses particularly in their street ministry. Violet was the office clerk at the former Dieckmann Florist. Preceding Violet in death were her husband Berne A. “Whitey” White, Sr.; son-in-law Walter Findlay; two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are her son Berne A. (Ruth) White, Jr. of Knoxville, OH; three daughters Joann Findlay of Wintersville, OH, Joyce (Phil) Spencer of Wintersville, OH and Judith (Charles) Magee of Canton, OH; brother Emerson (Leah) McGrew of Richmond, OH; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Friends may call at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Wintersville on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. with Brother Rudy Puskarich officiating. Burial Fort Steuben.
