Viola McHugh 92 of Wintersville, OH, currently residing at The Seniors Living Community at Wyngate in Weirton, WV passed away on Monday, July 7, 2002 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born on December 1, 1910 in Toms Creek, VA a daughter of the late Samuel and Victoria Nejilska Dwornick. She spent much of her childhood in Affinity, WV, before coming to Holidays Cove, WV, in 1933. Viola was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Wintersville, OH. She was preceded in death by 1st husband Rudolph Popeck, 2nd husband Terrance McHugh, Sr., he died in 1983, brothers Edward (died 1975), Maxie (died 1987), and Patsy Dwornick (died 1993), sisters Anne Riedel (died 1964) and Flossie Dwornick (died 1972). She is survived by her son Rudolph (Carolyn) Popeck of New Cumberland, WV, sister Lori Berg of Cincinnati, OH, grandson Rip Popeck of Newport News, VA, granddaughter Randi Lee of California, three great grandchildren. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial at New Alexandria Cemetery, New Alexandria, OH.
