Obituary For Viola Ann Miller

Viola A. “Vi” Miller, 78, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Carriage Inn of Steubenville. She was born August 31, 1941 in Steubenville a daughter of the late Walter L. & Rosemary D. Cragle Thomas. She was a former member of Bloomingdale UM Church; Hawthorne Garden Club; Helping Hands Quilting Club; Wayne Township Senior Citizens. Vi was the retired head cook at Jefferson County Vocational School. Preceding Vi in death were her husband Joseph O. Miller; daughter Rose Temple; grandson Jesse MacGregor; siblings Linda Lee Bell, Myrna Gene Thomas, Dwight Thomas & Alan Thomas.

Vi is survived by her sons Joseph Walter (Carrie) Miller of Bloomingdale & Kent C. Miller of St. Louisville, OH; daughter Penny Lynn (Rodney) Schlickeisen of Temple, TX; four grandchildren Amber Miller Simpson, Seth Miller, Joe Miller & Jacob MacGregor; siblings Donald Thomas of Wintersville, Geneva Marie (Robert) Baker of Bloomingdale & Lorna Elaine Thomas of Virginia.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday 5-7 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Jack Klinesmith officiating. Burial at Bloomingdale Cemetery.
