Vera J. Fisher, 84, of Wintersville, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Trinity West Emergency Room. She was born in Steubenville on November 3, 1932 the daughter of the late John and Sarah Barrett Finnigan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by first husband Arthur Robert Hess and two sons Gary and Robert Hess. Vera retired as a Sales Associate from the former Sears, Roebuck and Co. She is survived by two daughters Christine (Patrick) Cox of Wintersville and Sharon Hess (Joseph Sackett) Watson of Steubenville; six grandchildren Jeff (Szilvi) Hess, Sarah Jane (Raymond) Lindsey, Sean Michael (Amy), Adrienne, Taniel and Alyssa Hess. Per Vera’s request, funeral services and visitation will be private. Burial at Union Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville.
