Velma F. Tomlinson, 85, of Wintersville, Ohio died Monday, September 18, 2006 at her residence. She was born August 10, 1921 in Germano, Ohio a daughter of the late Henry Miller and Hattie Kuhn Zollars. She was the retired owner of Velma’s Beauty Nook in Wintersville and a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church. Preceding Velma in death were her husband Willis O. Tomlinson on October 25, 1999; sister Margaret Telfer and brother Harry “Jack” Zollars. Surviving are her daughters Carol Sue Tomlinson of Wintersville and Anita J. Chuich of Amsterdam; and grandson Kevin Todd (Lauren) Barker of Stow, Ohio. Private services and burial will be held Wednesday at Fort Steuben Chapel with Rev. John McCoy officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity.
