Obituary For Tony "Bubba" Morelli

Tony “Bubba” Morelli, 79, of Wintersville, Ohio died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Trinity West ER. He was born on August 1, 1936 in Steubenville a son of the late Antonio and Lena Carrara Morelli. He was a member of Starkdale Presbyterian Church; Jefferson County Farm Bureau; Boosters Club and a graduate of Wintersville High School. Tony started his business career with his father at Tony Morelli & Sons/Maple Lane Coal Co.; followed by Morelli Bros. Block & Brick Co. in Weirton with his brothers and finally in later years with his son Todd, at Todd Morelli Brick, Block & Stone, Wintersville, Ohio.

Preceding Tony in death were his two daughters Cheryl and Terri Morelli; and two brothers Benjamin & Geno Morelli.

Tony is survived by his wife Jean M. Morabeto Morelli; sons Tony (Colleen) Morelli and Todd (Donna) Morelli both of Wintersville; grandchildren Anthony (fiancée Andrea Lucas) Morelli and Britni (Ryan) Bradley; brother Clyde (Mary) Morelli and sisters-in-law Elizabeth & Teresa Morelli.

Tony was a people-person who always helped others in need, visited nursing homes and enjoyed watching sporting events and loved horses. His real passion was motor-homing across the country with his best buddy, his wife Jean.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 3-8 p.m. On Saturday, friends may call at Starkdale Presbyterian Church, 4600 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Philip Makari officiating. Burial at Mt Calvary Cemetery.

    Jeannie and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Tony was a man who loved his family and would do anything for them. I'm sure he will be missed by his family and all the lives he touch and crossed through his many years of business. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time! RIP sweet angel!

    There was always laughter when Tony was around. He enjoyed life and made sure everyone in his presence shared that joy. I know he is preparing a heavenly hay ride for all our angels!

    Tony was a man bigger than life always giving of himself. Tony was a special person and loved by all that knew him. He is at rest now and will be forever loved and remembered. Rest in Peace.Tammy Renfro

    Truly sad to learn of Bubbas passing. His advice and generosity of his time is a gift we will not forget. He always was genuinely concerned for others well being and our kids looked at him like another grandpa. He made our lives richer, fuller, and funnier and we will miss him
