Obituary For Tom Kotsanis

TOM KOTSANIS

Athanasios N. Kotsanis, 79, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away suddenly on Monday, September 13, 2021. He was born on April 3, 1942 in Maratho Icaria, Greece a son of the late Nicholas & Emorphia Kousko Kotsanis. Tom retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and several industrial painting companies in the Ohio Valley and Pittsburgh. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church; A.H.E.P.A.; Pan-Icarian Brotherhood and International Painters Unions 46 and 438. Tom served in the Greek Air Force and Merchant Marines. He traveled the world, finally settling in the U.S.

Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Stacey Lakios Kotsanis; three sons Nicholas (Christina) Kotsanis, William (Melissa) Kotsanis & Tommy (Jennifer) Kotsanis; eight grandchildren Athanasi, Anastasia, Constantine, Evangelia, Teddy, Willa, Lily & Tommy; brother Constantine (Nikki) Kotsanis; two sisters Argiro (late Constantine) Peristera & Vasso (Nick) Koukis; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Wednesday, September 15, from 4-7 p.m. On Thursday, friends may call at Holy Trinity Church from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Matthew Moore & Rev. Dean Dimon officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.

Trisagion 6:30 p.m. Wednesday

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Church OR Pan-Icarian Brotherhood.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME & CHURCH.
