Obituary For Thomas Michael Weaver

Thomas Michael Weaver 64, of Saline, MI passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Tom was born in Steubenville on June 3, 1956 a son of the late John and Dorothy Weaver. Tom moved to Michigan in 1981 and spent his career as an automotive engineer before retiring in 2019. He was, above all else, a dedicated, loving and giving father, making his children’s lives, happiness & education a top priority.

Tom was lovingly known as “Tough Guy Tom” by his son’s cross-country teammates for his knack for pushing back on undue authority, while keeping a smile on his face and a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He was a loyal friend & gentle soul with a profoundly loving heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Terry Mass (mother of his children) of Youngstown and younger brother, John Weaver.

Tom is warmly loved and missed by those who survive him: daughter Erika Tepsick of Streetsboro; son Ryan (Leanna) Weaver of Grand Rapids, MI; sister Colleen (Tony) Morelli of Wintersville; brother Tim (Angie) Weaver of Charleston, WV; sister Tammy (Shawn) Renfro of Salem; sister-in-law Bobbi (Paul) Weaver DeArdo of Wintersville; 2 grandchildren Allison & Beckett; his companion Deb Scott of Wintersville; many nieces and nephews and his canine buddy Gee.

Friends and family may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Saturday May 1, 2021 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. for a public visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Center of Hope, Friendship Room, P.O. Box 53, Steubenville, OH 43952.

Back at YSU in the 70's we just didn't call it a party if "Weave" wasn't with us! What a fun loving jovial guy who could survive flips (accident) off the balcony in to the bushes and shooting his golf ball into my leg off the tee. Out of our gang of 6-8 people Tom was a true friend whom everyone counted on.. Fly high with Jesus my friend. Prayers of comfort being said for his dear family.

I haven't seen Tom since our high school days, but I remember him as funny, friendly and altogether good company.  Especially when we were running laps during track practice.  Condolences to his family.
