Obituary For Thomas Finck

Thomas Morgan Finck, 93, of Wintersville, OH died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Trinity West.  The last few years he resided at Lancia Villa Vista where he became close to the very caring staff.  Tom was born May 23, 1919 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Theodore W. and Anna Winesburg Finck. Thomas served his country in WWII in the U.S. Army.  He owned and operated his own business, Finck’s Carpet Center in Wintersville until his retirement.  He was a 50 year member of Steubenville Lodge #45 F@AM.  He was a 32 degree member of the Steubenville Scottish Rite and Wheeling Shrine Club.  In the past Tom was an active member in Wintersville Methodist Church and the Methodist Men.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Hart Finck and his sister Eleanor M. Finck.  Tom is survived by three daughters Linda (Roger) Allen of Wintersville, OH, Phillis (Robert) Van Kirk of North Port, FL and Beverly (Brian) Biggio of Steubenville, OH; 5 grandchildren Amy Vavrinak, D. Thomas Hockett, B. Chad Biggio, Cristen Tarquinio and Erik Allen; 5 great grandchildren Morgan, Jimmy and Isabella Vavrinak, Kaleigh Downin and Zachary Biggio; brother Theodore W. Finck.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 11a.m. until time of funeral services at 1p.m. with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating.  Burial at Union Cemetery.  Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside services.  Memorial contributions may be made to: The Alzheimer’s Foundation or Shriners Children’s Hospital.

    dear phillis and families i am so sorry to read about your fathers passing, how i remember the old days phillis and i remember your family quite well. your mom and dad both were so much fun and they put up with us so they had to be great. i am sorry to read about your dad and didnt know that your mom had passed too. please hillis copy my email address and write when you can. i would love very much to talk to you. my prayers and thoughts are with you in love and friendship sandie
