Dear Shirley, Dear Shirley, I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember the fun it was to talk with him during some of the many phone calls to your home through our friendship in the Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs. I appreciated your kindness after the death of my husband and will be here for you in any way I can. All attendees of the recent convention expressed their concern and love for you and missed you very much. Please take care of yourself and may knowing we care, help in some small way. Rose

Dear Shirley, It was totally unexpected news that Jane Hope Bigler left for me on my phone about Tom's passing. I can only imagine how this affects you and your loved ones. I was at the wound treatment center after a very successful total left knee revision at Duke Hospital in Raleigh, to replace the one that was 16 years old, and I returned Jane's call immediately. I can't even imagine our 1952 class reunion this year without Tom, who was always at your side. You were blessed to have so many good years together, and I hope your happy remembrances will help you through the difficult time ahead. You will be in my prayers --- the least I can do for a friend from "way back" to the 1st grade at Grant School. Hope to see you in Sept. With sympathy, Kay Lisle Haines klislehaines@aol.com Raleigh, NC

Dearest Shirley, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. They say that We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath. You and your family shared many moments that took your breath away and those are the moments that will live on and help you in your time of grief!

To Shirley, my sincere sympathy at your loss. Tom was my electrician and more, like a friend. I trusted him and valued our varied conversations. That meant a lot to me. Always looked forward to seeing him. I will miss him. Ted
