Obituary For Terry L. Holtz

Terry L. Holtz, 67, of Steubenville, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at his daughter’s residence in Spring Hill, Tennessee, in the care of his loving family.  He was born February 24, 1945 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of the late Gerald D. and Pauline Childers Holtz.  He retired from Weirton Steel Co. working in the strip steel #9 tandem mill.  He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 year club, Steubenville High School Class of 1963,  Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, and AARP. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother Richard L. Holtz.He is survived by a son Shawn (Jamie) Holtz of Toronto, OH  and a daughter Cindy (Kevin) Porter of Spring Hill, TN, four grandchildren Chase Holtz, Nathan and Camden Porter and Ashley Smith; and a brother Donald R. (Darlene) Holtz of Westerville, OH.Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m., Rev. Jason Elliott officiating.  Burial at Union Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Jefferson County Chapter.

    Sympathy to the family of Terry Holtz. Terry was a classmate in the SHS class of 1963. He was always cheerful and a positive person. We are very sorry with his passing as his family was very important to him. He will be missed but a part of those he touched forever.

    Don,Cindy and Shawn,Terry has a loving family who has Loved him and gave so much support to him you all can remember his jokes and how much fun he could be when around him. I will have fond thoughts of him the rest of my life and sure you will also. God's blessing for all of you and be at peace knowing that Terry is at peace now.
