Occasionally, late in the afternoon, "Are you sleeping?" were the words Helen heard when her neighbor of almost half a century knock on the door and let herself in with a much welcomed pasta dish -- and, sometimes an entire meal...including dessert! Carried from one busy kitchen to another across a slender slag driveway. A small act of kindness with such largesse. The two friends on Circle Drive may no longer be exchanging recipes and neighborhood gossip, but their friendship is warmly remembered and celebrated in my heart. I miss them both and mourn the loss of of such giving persons. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Darlene, I am so sorry for your loss! I saw your mother last April when both she & my mother were patients in the hospital. I had a wonderful visit with her & will always cherish the many memories I have from all the years of doing her hair. Unfortunately I will not be able to see you in this time of grief due to my living in Columbus, but know that you are all in my thoughts & prayers. Susie Dalton

Pete. So sorry to hear of Sylvia passing. I use to enjoy those Fridays stopping by on my way home from work and talking with the two of you. She was a great person and I`m sure you are going to miss her as are many others. My Prayers to you Pete...Steve

Linda and Darlene, I was sorry to hear that your mom had passed, but at the same time, a smile came to my face. I visited her occasionally when my parents were still on the street. Always smelled good in the kitchen and one could find out all the local news of the neighborhood. Surprised, but then not really, that she worked until 2012. What a woman! May your memories and love get you through. Your old neighbor from childhood, Kim
