Stephen M. Parrish, 82, of Steubenville died Sunday, April 2, 2017. A devoted son to his late parents Stephen V. and Ida C. Lamantia Parrish, he was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 7, 1934. Stephen retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation as a Project Supervisor. He was a member of the former St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and was presently attending St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of Steubenville High School and faithfully followed “Big Red” sports and all the professional teams from Cleveland, Ohio. Stephen was a devoted husband of sixty-one years to Joyce Major Parrish and loving father to his children Stephen M. (Joan) Parrish of Gahanna, Ohio and Patrick W. Parrish of Hilliard, Ohio. He also leaves to cherish his memories his granddaughter whom he adored, Shaina L. Parrish of Portland, Oregon and his honorary grandchildren Alysha, Danielle, Domenic and DeAnna and his best friend and co-worker Patrick Albarano. Per Stephen’s request, no visitation or services are planned. Private burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church or St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
