Stanley L. Cotton 77 of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Trinity West. He was born in Leesburg, PA on August 22, 1927 a son of the late Stanley and Viola Bowers Cotton. He was the retired owner and operator of Cotton Tire Service and held membership in Wintersville American Legion Post 557. Stanley served in the US Army during WWII. Preceding Stanley in death were his wife Mary L. Kring Cotton on March 21, 2004; one sister Berdetta Armstrong; stepmother Janet Grundy Cotton and father-in-law Clarence Kring. Surviving are one son Kirk Cotton of Wintersville; two daughters Donna (David) Bargar of Weirton and Kim (Terry) Coleman of Cadiz; mother-in-law Hannah Kring of Elton, PA; aunt Nelle Thompson of New Castle, PA; nieces Cathy Leary and Nancy DiAntonio; six grandchildren Nash and Cody Coleman, Frank, Cassandra and Brandon Scozio and Hannah Bargar; and three great grandchildren At the request of the family, private visitation and services will be held on Saturday with Pastor John Beard officiating. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct services at the graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 332 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, OH 43952
