Sophia Kotur 93 of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Country Club Manor. She was born September 15, 1914 in Yugoslavia a daughter of the late Dane Lejvnaich and the late Mildred Lejvnaich Krnich. She was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Church and Sveta Petka Kolo. Preceding Sophia in death were her husband Mark Kotur in 1975; son Robert Kotur on April 20, 2008; and brothers Peter “Peppy” Krnich & Milan “Mitch” Krnich.Surviving are her daughter-in-law Sheila Kotur of New York City; two granddaughters Alexandra Kotur of New York City & Fiona Kotur Marin of Hong Kong; four great grandsons; sisters Katie (Chill) Trbovich, Sarah (Ernest) Carducci & Jean Ferrell all of Steubenville.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon with Very Rev. Rade Merick officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
