Shirley Forester Dillon, 80, a longtime resident of Wintersville, Ohio died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born July 21, 1934 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late George H. and Edith R. Truax Forester. She was an active member of St. Paul U.M. Church. Shirley was part owner and an employee of Forester Nursing Home her family’s business prior to moving to Searcy, AR. Preceding Shirley in death were her husband Robert Lee Dillon; grandson Robert Liggett; brother Daun Forester and brother-in-law George Eddy. Surviving are her children David (Debra) Dillon of Searcy, AR, Janet (Paul) Liggett of Wintersville, OH, Shari (Bob) McKinnon of Grapevine, TX and Todd (Valarie) Dillon of Searcy, AR; eight grandchildren Nicole Fitzgerald, Bryan Liggett, Sean Liggett, Kellen Fitzpatrick, Alainna Fitzpatrick, Hailey Fitzpatrick, Alexa Dillon and Garet Dillon; eleven great grandchildren Samuel, Breanna, Gavin and Hannah Fitzgerald, Brenna, Avery, Kamryn and Evan Liggett and Elijah, Kaiden and Milah Fitzpatrick and two sisters Ruth Eddy of Wintersville, OH and Lois (Leonard) Kayafas of Beaver Falls, PA. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville Tuesday 2 – 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. where a service will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. with Pastor Randy Sells officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul U.M. Church, 2509 West Beebe/Capps Expressway, Searcy Arkansas 72143 or National Parkinson Foundation. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Sunny Brook Nursing Home for the excellent care Shirley received.
