Shirley L. DiCarlo 79 of Mingo Junction, Ohio, died Saturday, October 23, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center, West, Steubenville. She was born in Steubenville on March 31, 1925 the daughter of the late Tom and Sarah Brittle Mitchell. Shirley was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mingo Junction and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Richard Michael DiCarlo Sr. at home. Two sons, Michael Richard DiCarlo of Mingo Junction and Richard “Rick” (Christine) DiCarlo Jr. of Columbus, Ohio and two daughters, Cindy Scurti of Steubenville and Melanie Lewis of Columbus, Ohio. Seven grandchildren, Hilary and Alison DiCarlo, Sarah and Rusty Lewis, Mark and Joe Petrelle and Rob Scurti and a great-grandson Matthew Petrelle. Three brothers, Harry (Shirley) Mitchell and Bill (Sue) Mitchell both of Mingo Junction, Ohio and Tom (Sis) Mitchell of Cincinnati, Ohio. Two sisters, Jane (Don) Meyers of Chicago, Ill and Doris (Cecil) Hyde of Indiana. Friends may call at the Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction, Ohio on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Mingo Junction, Ohio. Rev. James Dunfee to officiate. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. Vigil services 4 p.m. Tuesday.
