Obituary For Shirley J. Lash

Shirley Jean Gotschall Lash, 82, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at home with her loving family at her side following a brief illness. Born July 11, 1936 in Bloomingdale, she was a daughter of the late Jay and Leila Howard Gotschall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles J. Lash III and her stepmother Ruth Gotschall. Shirley was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband, Charles J. Lash, Jr., owner of Lash Plumbing & Heating.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Charles, whom she married on February 3, 1956; son Richard J. (Diana) Lash of Wintersville; grandson Brandon (Jackie) Lash of Imperial, PA; three great granddaughters Carlee, Adalyn and Josie Lash; three brothers Walt, Jay “Bud” and Robert; and sister Donna Kay.

In respecting Shirley’s wishes, there will be no visitation. The family would like to thank Dr. Rahman and the wonderful staff of Charity Hospice for their care and support.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Christian Church OR Charity Hospice, both in Wintersville.

    Deepest sympathies Charles and family on your loss of Shirley.  What a nice lady she was and I loved to talk to her on the telephone.  She made me smile every time she called.  Even if she had a problem by the time we were finished she was laughing and so was I.
